Adorable Family

Whether on Facebook or AdorableFamily.com, many of you who follow this blog have been asking what color is Ethan’s hair? When he was born it was dark brown but in recent months it has lightened A LOT.  Some would say he has blond “highlights” that some women pay a lot of money for.  So where did it come from.

I’m blaming Jennifer’s side of the family!   Grandma told me she was blond until age 2 (maybe 5, I can’t remember).  At the same time, Jennifer reminded me of pictures of my brother when he was Ethan’s age.  So who really knows.  I still stand behind my original statement, “Ethan is mini Jen”.  My reasoning?

1. He’s adorable
2. He’s got chubby cheeks
3. He loves cuddling with me

Enough said.

Mr. Smiles is ALL OVER THE PLACE. It’s amazing how much I forgot from the time Emily was this age to now. He crawls like crazy and pulls himself up on everything… it’s adorable… most of the time.  We had fun with his hair after bath time, take a look at the pic to see more.

Today marks Ethan’s first 4th of July.  It’s actually the first 4th of July for both of them since Emily’s usally asleep for fireworks.  We’re headed out the door to Lake Tahoe.

Ne-ne did it!  Just moments ago, little Ethan pulled himself up on two feet!  I guess it’s time to check all the baby proofing in the house.

So I guess our little man had a little too much BBQ. The ironic thing is I do the same thing after I enjoy BBQ.

After a few days from home, I spent some time with Ethan on the floor. I didn’t have to say much or even entertain, he seemed to crack up all on his own. It’s one of this moments when I want to take a mental snap shot. Instead I shut up and started taping.
