Dodging A Bullet

good_job_red_ribbonFor 11 months I’ve dodged a bullet.  With 16 days until Ethan’s first birthday, he pee’d on me.  Not one of those diaper changes gone wrong, I was actually holding him in my arms when the incident happened.  The smile on his face combined with the warm sensation on my shirt made me smile.  I made such a big deal about him NOT pee’ing on me.  I guess it was only a matter of time.

Only with unconditional love can someone pee on you and all you can do is laugh.  Well done Ethan, well done! :)

With only 19 days until Ethan’s Birthday. Jennifer and I decided to get him gussied up!  He did well for the first 5 minutes but after awhile he’d had enough.  He was so precious though.  And Dad as usual was standing by with his Canon 40D with a 50m f1.8 lens to capture the moment.

The kids are now fast asleep (taking naps) while Jennifer and I decompress from the busy morning.  Enjoy the photos.

Something Funny Happened Last Night…

As each day passes, I find myself acting more and more like a 60 year old man.  I’ve been going to bed at 9PM.  Yes, 9PM.  In college, at 9PM I’d hop in the shower and get ready for a night out!  At any rate, I feel asleep early and woke up around 11:30PM to the sight of Emily laying next to me.  She was fast asleep in dream land.  So here’s the “funny part”…  She started giggling and then said clear as day, “more Einsteins” in her sleep.  I laughed so hard since the Little Einsteins have been VERY popular in our house lately.

Just When I Thought…

sadface-300x284Just when I thought we were in the clear, I find out another child in Ethan’s classroom has come down with the Chicken Pox.  As Ethan’s birthday fast approaches I grown to think our little man “might” have the Chicken Pox on his first birthday.

On a lighter note, Mr. Ethan is walking like CRAZY!  As each day passes he becomes more and more confident!  He’s sleeping well (which is good for us) and he continues to be the happiest baby in the entire world!

Washing Daddy’s Truck

Ethan continues to walk like crazy.  Each day he gets more and more brave.  2 steps has turned into 4, 6 and sometimes even 8!

Many of you know that I love my truck.  I have a certain routine where I wash my truck each and every weekend.  Last weekend I invited Emily to come outside and help me and she loved it.  She had SOOOOO much fun she jumped at at the chance to help me again this weekend.  Jennifer grabed the camera and caught some video of Emily teaching us how to wash the truck.
