Ne-ne did it!  Just moments ago, little Ethan pulled himself up on two feet!  I guess it’s time to check all the baby proofing in the house.

I woke up this morning to the sounds of my babies. Emily came up to me with a t shirt, ball cap and a card with some special art in it. We packed up the car and headed east for a day trip to Lake Tahoe. Jennifer made reservations for brunch at Gar Woods in Carnelian Bay. We had a second story table overlooking the lake, it was beautiful. I ate like there was no tomorrow and I’m proud to say brunch was the only meal I had all day.

After breakfast Emily and I stood on the patio and looked at the water. She kept pointing at something but I couldn’t fully understand her big girl words so I asked her to show Daddy. She pointed toward the peer so we walked out there. She just LOVED the boats, she couldn’t get enough of them. Unfortunately, the winds were strong which made it pretty chilly but we still had a nice visit.

After breakfast and boat watching the kids were exhausted.  We got back in the truck and both kids fell asleep.  We decided to head home, all in all it was a wonderful Father’s Day!

We took the kids to Target for a little photo shoot this morning and decided to jump in for a few.  Here’s a collage of some of the pictures taken.

We’ve all been battling a little stomach bug.  Luckly Mommy has escaped it but both kids and I got it and it was no fun.

So I guess our little man had a little too much BBQ. The ironic thing is I do the same thing after I enjoy BBQ.

I finally found a way to put in words how it feels to have your child tell you he/she loves you.  Do you remember the feeling you had when you shared afirst kiss or fell in love for the first time?  Take that feeling and multiply it by a thousand!!!  It makes all of life’s worries disappear… at least temporarily.  We really don’t have much to complain about.  Emily’s testing boundaries and patience at times but all in all, she’s adorable. <- I know, I’m bias.

Ethan remains the most mellow babies I’ve ever met.  I know, I know, you think I’m bias but it’s 100% TRUE.  The kid smiles, laughs, crawls around and ONLY cries when he’s hungry or super wet.

Last night I uploaded a bunch of photos from the old website; mainly anything and everything from Emily’s birth and beyond.
